Arwen, our Elan 340 is for sale

   
LANCELOT  M.C.P.Y. , the shipping company,  decided to sell Arwen ,our beloved Elan 340, upgrading to a larger yacht.
The yacht was launched on 2010 used for three seasons and was professionally  maintained .  
    Our clients   around the world can testify for her prime condition.  
Her inventory is as follows   :
Volvo Penta 30 bhp, 75L diesel tank, folding prop,  200L water tanks, Electric Fridge, boiler for warm water,  Electric windlass with 75m chain scope and a Rocna Anchor, 220V installation (works with shore power cable which is also provided), Victory One sails ,Furling Genoa, Full batten Main with single line reefing system, Cunningham, Lazy jack with lazy bag, GPS with chart plotter, Autopilot, Radio/CD player, Two 12v cigarette shockets in chart table, VHF with GMDSS, Sprayhood and 2 bimini top that can be fully deployed during sailing, Dingy with outboard, , Led navigation lights, and led lights in cabins and saloon area, MCA coded,  asymmetric  spinnaker with a snuffer and an ORC Club certificate .

Το σκάφος Arwen (Elan 340) θα συμμετάσχει στον αγώνα της Ύδρας που οργανώνεται απο τον Ν.Ο.Ε.
Αναχώρηση το πρωί της Παρασκευής 28/10 απο Καλαμάκι ,επιστροφή το βράδυ της Κυριακής 30/10 στο Καλαμάκι.

Amazing race results and new records set by Arwen our Elan 340

   Arwen, our beloved Elan 340 manage to get the 5th position in her class on Poros 2011 yacht race.
This position is not what someone might expect of an Elan 340 ,but it is a great achievement if you consider that this is Arwen's first racing debut. The achievement is even greater if someone considers that the yacht was sailed with the same cruising inventory that is offered to our charter guests !
At the race we’ve set another record. We were sailing at 25 degrees true wind making 5 knots over ground (GPS reading)! Whether this was correct or not we  cannot tell at the moment, but we are sure that no other yacht was able to follow!

Led power for Arwen

Improvements never stop for Arwen. Our  Elan 340 is now illuminated completely with led lights. Power consumption is down to minimum so less engine hours are needed per day to charge the batteries.

Νίκος και Ματίνα

Δύο νέοι ιστιοπλόοι ο Νίκος και η Ματίνα αποφάσισαν να δώσουν όρκους αιώνιας αγάπης και αφοσίωσης πάνω στο s/y Αrwen .

Ο καιρός  όμως θέλοντας να δοκιμάσει τους όρκους τους, δυνάμωσε και σύντομα άρχισαν  να ταξιδεύουν όρτσα με 40-45 κόμβους αέρα και 3 μέτρα κύμα.

Έτσι το καλό μας ξωτικό, η Arwen, ανέλαβε το καθήκον να τους προστατεύσει και με την ταχυτητά της να τους παραδώσει γρήγορα και ξεκούραστα στον προορισμό τους.

Από την πλευρά μας τους ευχόμαστε «η ώρα η καλή» και η αγάπη τους να ειναι δυνατή σαν τον καιρό που συνάντησαν και παραμυθένια σαν την αγάπη της Arwen.

Βreaking news

It is now official that Arwen, our beloved Elan 340 will have an asymetric spinnaker next season.

The spinnaker will be rated and included in the yacht's ORC certificate and most importantly will have a snuffer, ''sock", so that hoisting or dousing will be a single handed operation at all times.

More information on the spinnaker making, the trimming, and the gear that will follow (yes, we will give her a removable bowsprit too) will be announced later this season, so stay tuned.
